Amara organix hand cream review

Hi Dolls!

I am back with another review of a chemical-free product by a brand Amara organix. Firstly,I would bring to your notice that this brand understands your needs and customises the products for you.In my case, before sending me the samples, they had asked about what all ingredients pose a problem to me.They have sent 2 soaps as well in their basic gift wrapping which I will post about later. 🙂

IMG_20160608_210006_738

About the brand: Amara handcrafted bath & beauty products are formulated to create a positive and enriching experience to an individual’s mind, body and soul. We at Amara use the abundant body of knowledge left behind by our ancients in Ayurveda,Aromatherapy, Ancient Chinese texts and our very own backyard recipes to present safe, gentle and natural beauty solutions.

In the quest for beauty that is safe and natural, we at Amara Organix strive to deliver natural and handmade skincare essentials. We procure our ingredients from the most genuine sources available and use only the purest steam distilled essential oils, cold pressed Virgin nourishing oils, organically farmed honey, exotic oils like Argan ,Maracuja oils and herbs and exfoliates.

To know about them more and their product list, head over here.

Availability: Products can be ordered via whatsapp (+91 8056592923) , Facebook  messenger and mail (Info@amaraorganix.com). They do ship worldwide but it will be costly due to shipping charge.

Price and quantity: ₹350/- for 100 gms. Shipping charge additional ₹50/- within chennai and if out of station – mostly it is ₹70 to ₹80. It is best to order several items at a time.I find the price reasonable for an organic product and the quantity is apt, considering it will last you easily for 2-3 months depending on how severe your hands are dry. Payment to be made via NEFT transfer and Bank Deposit.COD not available.Bank details will be shared when your order is confirmed.

Ingredients: Shea butter ,Aloe Vera extract, Coconut oil, Argan oil ,Tamanu oil ,Frankincense essential oil  and Lavender essential oil

IMG_20160608_205951_786

Packaging: Comes in a simple plastic transparent tub with screwed lid.The tub had a nature-like design all over but it faded away while using it. It only has the product name on it.On enquiring I got to know, its just a sample packaging,so the correct name will be mentioned for sure. :-D.The packaging can be improved as in mentioning of ingredient list, price and expiry. Nonetheless,Mehar, the owner of this brand is very responsive to your queries. They also do customised gift wrapping for party favours/wedding favours/birthday return gifts/event takeaways for corporates etc. Colour/design/theme and budget – everything is customisable and they also work within budgets.

IMG_20160608_205932_063

Name will be changed! 😀

Fragrance and texture: It has a very lavender like smell which is refereshing. Not too overpowering. It has a very light texture and the cream looks offwhite in color.Easily blends into the skin.

IMG_20160608_205912_439

My thoughts: I like my hand creams hydrating but non-greasy.Does this serve the purpose?

Yes!It gets absorbed readily and is not at all greasy. Makes your hands soft for 4-5 hours for moderate dry hands. You need to reapply it though after washing hands.

The tub is sturdy so no issues of spillage. However,if you are travelling and open the tub,the product may stick to the lid and fall.

Didn’t cause any trouble to my eczema prone skin as well.Infact all the ingredients used are good for soothing the eczema skin.

The consistency is such that, you can use it as a body moisturiser also or dry areas of your face.

Overall verdict: Definitely a good purchase.

Aroma Essentials Shea moist review

Hello peeps!

Summers are here and so is dehydrated skin.No matter how much you drink water, the summers in North India will dry you out.I personally get chapped lips and dry cheeks.

If you have normal-combination skin, then look no further as this moisturizer provides the nourishment with added fresh scent.

Availability: You can buy their products from contacting them on their facebook page & Instagram account @aromaessentials. The owner, Madhurima, will reply to your queries and messages therein. Their products are also available at selected places in India as given below and internationally, they ship also.

Price and quantity: INR 250 for 35g.It is kind of less quantity but the reason is it is freshly made and to be used in a short time due to absence of preservatives. That is my reason though. 😛 You need very less to apply on face and neck.Since I have combination skin,I take a pea-sized amount, rub it a little between my palms and then pat it gently on my face and neck. That is, no gliding or rubbing the product on the skin.I keep on patting till I feel the skin has got the moisture it needs.Another reason is I also have sensitive skin,so any rubbing causes redness easily. They take additional 100 INR for shipping within India, so best to order 2-3 products at once.

IMG_20160406_230408_847

Ingredients: Shea butter, soya lecithin and chamomile. Now soya lecithin is a food emulsifier, as in, it is used in food industries, for the oils and water to mix as you know they don’t mix easily.( Some science fact. 😛 ) If it is worthy of digesting, then skin is obviously nothing compared to it. You can find this in chocolates, mayonnaise etc.

Fragrance: Strong chamomile smell which is actually calming and refreshing. If you have a sensitive nose, then I have nothing further to say.  😦

Texture: It is fluffy in texture and very light. Easily gets absorbed into the skin and looks almost like a gel.It is offwhite in color.

IMG_20160406_230455_518

Packaging: Comes in a small plastic tub with all the usual labels. For ingredients, you can ask them easily before buying. The tub is sturdy and leak-proof so it is travel-friendly.I carry this tub with me daily for emergency moisturization.

My views: On my combination skin,it provides optimum moisturization however,T-zone needs dusting after 3-4 hours.Dry skin may need reapplication of this . Oily skin may not benefit from this but Aroma Essentials do have other products which cater to particular skin type.

This fits my sensitive skin also without causing any tingling or redness. It didn’t cause any effect on my eczema also,so I am relieved.

For dry weather, you may need more quantity while applying so the tub may not last full month. But atleast you can be sure that the quantity has been decided based on its expiry.

Overall verdict is try it.I love it for its entirely herbal contents, size, freshness and cooling effect.Their product list is attached below.

My Winter/Autumn body-care routine

Heya everyone!

Keeping up with my weekday posting schedule promise,I am sharing my body-care routine during winter/autumn season for normal to dry skin.

My body has always been on the drier side specially my hands.Winters just make it worse.Since October beginning,I have changed my body-care routine to combat dryness and itchiness. This winter I have introduced 2 items in my body-care,which has really helped me a lot.One is the body butter and another a serum for stretch marks/cellulite.

1.)I take bath using my shower gel Nutraclin from Ethicare remedies. This is good for all skin types. It doesn’t strip moisture from the skin and makes it soft.I have done a detailed review on it.Check it out here.On weekends,I take it a step more.I exfoliate my body using a walnut scrub with apricot and olive oil from Pure Roots.I bought this on my travel in Kashmir. It has slightly strong exfoliating property. For hands and feet,I exfoliate them using the scrub from Pure Suds.It has mild particles which is good for sensitive dry hands and feet.I will review these in the upcoming posts in detail. Both are moisturising.I wash them off with water.

2.) When the skin is still wet,I apply coconut oil all over my body. This makes sure that the oil forms a layer on the skin trapping the moisture beneath. Also,it makes it less oily.

3.) I pat my skin dry and apply the body butter from Pure Suds.I have done a detailed review here. You can read it.

4.) For my hands,I apply Avene Cold cream hand cream. This has the Avene thermal spring water in it,which has calming and softening effect on skin.Throughout the day, whenever,I wash my hands,I apply another hand cream called Nevlon moisturising cream. This was suggested by my dermatologist. However, anyone can use it.It is very moisturising and gets absorbed within 1/2 min. It doesn’t impart greasy feeling.

5.) At night, I use the body butter again and for my hands,I use another hand cream called Logifeel. It was also suggested by my dermat. It contains glycolic acid, suitable for dry skin. This cream gets absorbed instantly.I follow it up with Boroline cream on my hands and wear cotton gloves to sleep. Boroline is greasy,so gloves are must. Also its antiseptic and moisturising in nature, perfect for itchy dry hands. On my cellulite areas,I use the Juicy Chemistry cell construction serum.Apply the serum first before body butter. You can read my detailed review on the serum here.

Pure Suds Rose velvet rich body butter review

Hey beautiful!

Winter is almost round the corner and what is the first thing that comes to your mind? Fluffy warm clothes, hot chocolate and dry skin. 😛

In my case,I also start worrying about onset of my eczema, which thankfully,I have managed to keep it away by strictly following a fixed skincare. If you want to know what I do for my eczema-prone/ dry /sensitive skin, follow the link. I have also shared tips for people suffering from eczema. Check it out here.

Body butters are thick moisturisers or creams, which stay for a longer duration. Also they are ideal for all people specially those who have severe dry skin due to its thick nature.

About the brand: Pure Suds Skin Treats brings to you a world of luxurious hand-crafted soaps minimizing the use of harsh chemicals on a daily basis. Promoting minimally processed skincare which include a range of cold-process hand-crafted soaps, Body butters, Sugar scrubs, Face scrubs, Lotions and Lip balms. All of which is prepared in my little studio in Rajasthan to delivery all over India.

Availability: Currently they are taking orders through whatsapp, facebook and email. Contact them on-09784591628 and mail them on puresudssoapery@gmail.com. They ship only in India, and if you reside outside, either get your friend or family in India to parcel it to you.

Price and quantity: INR 899 for 150 g which is cheap considering it is organic and how much it is costly when you buy high end body butters of same quantity.

Ingredients: Olivem 1000, oliwax, borage oil, soya-bean oil, Shea butter, sesame oil, glycerine, cetyl alcohol, essential oil, phenoxyethanol.

Cetyl alcohol can be found in many skin products. This is a thickener and is added to make the product glide and slip easily. Olivem 1000 is a emulsifier for natural made formulations so that water and oils bind together. ( Let’s be scientific  😀 )  Oliwax stabilises oil-water emulsions. Phenoxyethanol is a mild preservative which is just 0.7 % .

These chemicals don’t bear any harmful effect as far I know and are required for creams and body butters. 🙂

Packaging: Comes in a transparent jar with golden screwed cap. The labels are on the side bearing the name, ingredients, product description and rest of the usual details. The plastic jar is very sturdy to carry around and looks classy sitting on the shelf. 🙂

Texture and color: It is whipped cream, white in color.

My views: I apply this just after bath so as to trap moisture and at night before sleeping. This keeps my skin soft throughout the day. It doesn’t impart greasy feeling which is a plus point. It gets absorbed into the skin in a minute or two. The fragrance is very light on the nose and lingers for sometime. So sensitive noses needn’t worry. 😉 When applying, quantity required is less otherwise it may get sticky.

Overall verdict is go for it. It is organic, tackles dry skin,is cheap and looks sassy.

Skincare & Makeup haul

Heya!

I usually don’t write about hauls as I shop in bits and pieces. But this time,a fellow blogger requested me to do a haul post and coincidently, I had shopped a lot in October(GOSF 2015)  and November.

I had shopped practically from all the leading online sites like Amazon,Flipkart and Jabong. Also,I collaborated with Pure Suds, who specialises in handmade organic skincare .Currently they are offering winter discount of 30% on all their products. So don’t wait!!!I did buy some stuffs from local area.

From Flipkart,I bought a bronzer from Freedom makeup. It retails for INR 450,but I stole it for INR 290. :-P. It is actually a compact powder, but having a shade of a bronzer. Also it has fine shimmer in it,so perfect for bronzing.Who would want shiny compact powder in their kitty? 😛

IMG_20151121_134744_HDR

From Jabong,I bought a huge tub of aloe vera gel (500g)as my Patanjali aloe vera gel was getting finished. Also I wanted to try some other brand.I had 336 Jabong credits which were expiring by October end so perfect timing to splurge. It retails for INR 321 and total cost was 421 after adding handling charges,so I used my credits and paid INR 85 only. 😀 We girls love deals. 😛 Also,I treated myself to a brown kohl from MUA called Malt choclate, which has fine glitter particles which don’t show much.It costs for INR 300 but I got it for INR 166.

IMG_20151120_200625_HDR

IMG_20151120_200921_HDR

I got my first professional brush set from BS-MALL and Real techniques miracle sponge from Amazon.in. These are my prized possessions. 😛 The brush set costs INR 1390 for 5 face and 5 eye brushes, but I got the deal for INR 1000. Also I got a free leather pouch for the brushes. The Real Techniques miracle complexion sponge retails for INR 720 including shipping. The price keeps on changing depending on sellers.Guess, how much I paid? INR 455. 😛

Around Diwali,I bought a mason jar candle of INR 85,though its MRP is INR 250,having sandalwood scent, but unluckily there’s no scent on burning. 😦 Nonetheless,it looks beautiful when lit.The candle was purchased from SRS .Also,I visited the art and crafts fair Shilpotsav, held in my city, around Diwali and I came home with this cute little drawer box, which is apt for storing daily wear baubles or small makeup items.Lot of bargaining was done for this purple glittery box. Finally it ended on INR 300.

Lastly,I spent on organic skincare from Pure suds. You can find them on facebook.I was sent 2 full size samples to try if I purchased some products from their range.I got the Body butter – 899/ and Mango lip butter- 150/- . Full size sample: 1) face gel pack lavender chamomile 2) hand and foot scrub. All these were sent in cutesy boxes with ribbons.

I will do a review post on the eyeliner ,bronzer and pure suds haul soon.Hope you liked my haul post.Do share whether you want me to do such posts more. 🙂

Till the next time, byee, take care, keep on splurging. 😉

My daily Autumn/Winter skincare routine

Heya!

It’s been a long time since I posted something. I am so sorry. 😦 I was caught up with the festivities around here.It involved home decorating, lighting the balconies with lamps and earthen pots and ofcourse, decorating yourself. 😉 If you are following me on Instagram, you may have seen me posting a video on my room decor and a picture of me in traditional attire and makeup for Diwali,an Indian festival of lights.

Now that I am finally over with them, let me post a skincare routine for women suffering from combination/dry/sensitive skin for autumn to winter season.Hope this helps you. 🙂

I follow a very simple daily skincare routine as I beleive we women, juggling from home to office don’t have so much time to pamper ourselves on a daily basis. :-\ I will post a weekly home facial routine soon for that extra time we reserve for ourselves on the weekends. 😉

I cleanse my face twice a day with Avene emollient cleansing gel for dry to sensitive skin. This cleans the face well but may make the skin bit drier. If I have makeup on,I remove it first prior to cleansing with coconut oil.

After cleansing ,I spray the Avene thermal springwater on my face and neck to tone the pores and also cool down my skin and reduce the redness.I have eczema patches on my cheek,so this has helped it a lot.I let it air dry.

I follow this with Patanjali aloe vera gel.I massage it gently all over my face and neck and wait for a minute or two to let it get absorbed.Aloe vera gel is good for dry flaky skin or sensitive skin.Actually for all skin types. Oily skin women may stop their skincare routine at this.Aloe vera gel moisturizes your skin, soothes the sensitive skin and reduces itchiness and dryness. It doesn’t clog the pores. I have done a post on goodness of aloe vera gel.Do check it out here.

Since I have dry patches,I apply Nevlon moisturizing cream on my dry patches for additional moisturization.I use this for daytime as this is readily absorbed into the skin without causing greasiness. For nightime or at home days,I use Avene Trixera+ selectiose emollient cream on the dry patches only, since this is very rice in nature. This is good for eczema people as it reduces the dryness.Check my instagram for 1 month result, where my flakiness disappeared after applying this.

For luscious lips,I have been using a natural lip balm from Puresuds. This is highly moisturizing and keeps my lips hydrated for 6-8 hours without eating/drinking and for 4-5 hours with drinking/eating.

This entire process takes approximately 4-5 minutes. 🙂 Isn’t that simple! You must have noticed that I am using Avene products a lot.In no way am I promoting or advertising for them.I am using the products as they are genuinely good for sensitive/problematic skin.I have seen the results and also my dermatologist suggested me to use. However, they are costly, atleast in India. But good things come at a price. 😛

Also,Nevlon ,Puresuds and Patanjali are Indian brands,so you may not find them in your country or online. But you can use their equivalent.I am sure aloe vera gel is hugely available worldwide,so is the lip balm containing shea butter or mango butter. You can use any moisturizing cream that suits you.

I have been following this routine for more than a month, and my skin texture has improved,so is the glow.Earlier I used to have serums in my routine but now I have kept it simple.

If you want me to review any of the products used above,do write in the comments section below. I will be happy to post on them.

Do watch out for the weekly home facial routine I will be posting soon. 🙂 See you all in my next post, byee, take care lovelies. 🙂

Avene Trixera+ Selectiose emollient cream review ( for dry/sensitive/eczema prone skin)

Heya!!

Today I will be reviewing the most sought after cream in dermatology and would like to share whether it stays true to its claims or not.

If you are following me closely, you would know that I have sensitive combination skin which turns drier during fall-winter season. This year I vowed to take extra care so as to not to flare up like last year. :-\  I got myself this cream and I must say, this is going to stay with me forever.

Availability: This is available only online as far I know,on all the renowned sites like Amazon, purplle etc in India. However,if someone knows any store in Delhi-NCR,do let me know. I got this from Abu Dhabi. This cream comes in 2 variants-200 and 400 ml.

Price & quantity: It is sold for INR 1500 for 200 ml on these sites but currently it is selling cheap for INR 1425 on Fortishealthworld.com, Keep a lookout for discounts online. The customs have made this a pricey affair so if possible get it from abroad like I did. For 200 ml ,this is indeed very costly but when it comes to skincare related to eczema,I can’t take any chances.

Fragrance: It doesn’t have any and it is also mentioned on the tube.

Ingredients:

• Avène Thermal Spring Water (50%) – Calms redness and irritation, soothes and softens

• Selectiose® (1%) – Helps control the skin’s inflammation response

• Lipidic-Trio (Essential fatty acids, Ceramides 3, Plant sterols) – Restores the skin’s barrier

• Glycine – Relieves itching

Packaging: It comes in a cardboard box which I threw away. Sorry. Inside it,there is a pamphlet which has details about the brand and their products description from Trixera+ line. The pamphlet is very helpful as you can choose products based on your skin. The tube is simple plastic white tube with flip cap. It is sturdy so no spillage.

Texture: White cream which comes out easily of the tube. It doesn’t feel heavy on the skin.It glides on the skin like a dream.

Usage: Apply 1/2 times in a day on very dry areas of the face and body.

What it claims:

• Patented Selectiose® reduces skin hypersensitivity and irritation and controls skin inflammation response

• Relieves itching

• Restores the skin’s barrier

• Prevents moisture loss and soothes irritation

• Suitable for infants, children and adults

• Fragrance-free, paraban-free

• Avène Thermal Spring Water to soothe and soften skin

• Hypoallergenic and non-comedogenic

My views: I have been using this judiciously and reviewing this after 15 days. After cleansing my face,I use it on my cheeks  which have a mild flare up now. I prefer this at night as it makes it look bit greasy and sticky. Also,at night skin products work the best as your skin is free from any pollution effects. I spread it on my cheeks gently and then start dabbing it lightly so as to not to irritate my skin further.

Only a pea sized amount goes a long way when you are applying on small areas like cheeks or chin. So I would say this tube will last me for a long time.

Honestly, this cream is not a miracle cream which will make your dryness or eczema go away in a jiffy. But in these 15 days,my skin looks smoother, less itchier and flaky. Also my skin looks softer. The redness has also reduced. I still have the flare up,but it is not noticeable now. 🙂 It hasn’t broken me out so that is a sure sign that it doesn’t clog the pores. I will keep on using this and will update after a month on my instagram.

Overall I am happy at how my skin is reacting to this. Avene is indeed a trustworthy brand and I did my research on it well before buying this stuff. Infact,I have bought many things from their range and soon I will post my thoughts on them too. This is not a promotion at all.If you are suffering from dry skin, eczema or sensitive skin,go ahead and buy this. This does work.

Skin care tips for Eczema prone people-Autumn/Winter season

Heya!

After a 2 week long hiatus,I got some time to post this. I wanted to write about something different, which has always been my companion.Since childhood,I am having an on & off relation with it and now,I have come to accept it. It has changed my thinking about the way I look and carry myself in the world.

Yes! I am talking about a skin condition. If you have followed me since the beginning,I had written some posts regarding it and now that again the chilly weather is going to set in India, this is the perfect time to share with you. I have been suffering from Atopic Dermatitis/Eczema/Itchy dry skin rash condition. It usually starts from childhood and is genetic in nature. If you have someone in your family who has this or is suffering from Asthma, then you are at risk.

I know you are thinking, what’s the relation between skin and lungs? My doctor told me that usually if you suppress lung condition,it shows on your skin and vice versa.I have the skin condition and my brother had Asthma.Luckily, his case got over in his teens only. 🙂 My family line from mom’s and dad’s side, have these and so I inherited them pretty easily. 😛 My dad’s side had Asthma and Psoriasis and my mom’s side, well my mom herself has eczema. :-\

When my allergies were suppressed,I developed cold and cough which refused to go away easily. This happened when I was taking Allopathy meds.Nowadays,I am currently on Homoeopathy again and they have balanced the two.Sometimes the allergies go away, sometimes they are just hovering on the skin.

In India, people are not aware of this and usually mistake it for skin rash and apply steroids or prickly heat powder. In doing so,you are basically harming the skin more.I have vowed to stay away from steroids myself.

Eczema is not communicable disease and usually it comes & goes with seasons, food intake or any allergent you are allergic to.With these things keeping in mind,I want to share some tips to go through it and embrace it,rather than feeling low . I walk with confidence and don’t care what people think.Nobody is perfect but everybody is beautiful in their own way. 🙂

  1. Since it is dry skin condition, moisturizing is the key. Wherever, you have dry flaky patches, apply creams.Creams are thicker than lotions & oils and provide more moisturization so use it according to the degree of dryness you have.On my body,I use coconut oil after bath.It is light in nature and gets readily absorbed, providing shine to the skin and softness.I have done a post on this. You can read it for how to use as a moisturizer. I use Avene Trixera cream on my cheeks twice a day.It soothes the skin, makes it less itchy and red.
  2. Your skin barrier is broken so it has lost its capacity to hold moisture and so the dryness. To repair the barrier,Take vitamins and supplements for the skin, either in the form of fruits and veggies or tablets. My doctor suggested me to take Vitamin A tab half yearly for a week.Currently I am having collagen tablets once a day for the skin for a month. Also I am applying hand cream at night called Logifeel cream which has Glycolic acid. This is required by the skin to keep it hydrated. This has actually made my hands appear more softer.
  3. Avoid exfoliating when you have eczema.Your skin is already inflamed and doing this will aggravate the dryness further.
  4. Cleansing is equally important to remove the rapid buildup of dead skin which is causing the flakiness and dryness.I use cream based cleansers during Autumn/winter as my skin becomes drier. My favourite is Aroma Magic aloe vera cleanser.I have done a review on it.You can check it out here. Also I am using Avene Trixera emollient cleanser.I am having trouble understanding this one though as it is bit drying in nature, but soothes the skin and reduces inflammation. So I don’t know why is is called emollient. For the body I am using Nutraclin cleanser .This one is my saviour since last winter.Read here what I like about it.
  5. Dry weather causes loss of moisture from the skin.So cover the areas which are exposed when going out.I usually cover my face with a scarf.Humidifiers are good for indoors. Also keep yourself hydrated by drinking water.
  6. Avoid taking long baths in hot water. They may feel relaxing but renders the skin drier.
  7. Even if you don’t have outbreak of eczema on your skin,it is best to follow the skincare strictly.Prevention is your friend.
  8. If you can’t stay away from makeup, then go for cream based or water based foundations. They will provide the moisturization. Also choose products wisely after seeing the ingredients.
  9. Aloe vera is a natural remedy for dryness and sensitive skin. Also shea butter, kokum butter etc are good natural alternatives for artificial creams. You can try them.I did a product review on aloe vera gel available .Check it out here.

All the above are personally tested by me and so far,are working for me.If you want to know more about eczema or maybe suggest something to deal with it,do pen it down in the comment box below. Also,to know about any product mentioned above, let me know in the comment section and I will do a review on it happily. 🙂

See you all in the next post, byeee, take care..:-* and Love Thyself.

Bio organic & natural nature inspired body lotion review

Heya!

I know I didn’t post anything for over a while.I wasn’t keeping well, courtesy the weird monsoon over here.Humid weather took a toll on me.

However,I did manage to come up with a review for another herbal product from India. But this time,it is our body I am talking about.Free from any chemicals, this body lotion will keep your skin soft and freshen you up,literally.

I got this as a sample from the BON team.If you are following my posts regularly,I have done 2 more reviews of their products earlier. The links are given below.I have been liking their products actually and intend to buy them once my sample gets finished. 😛

Packaging: Comes in a plastic flip-flop bottle which I find convenient and hygienic to use.It is travel friendly too.

Their claims: This organic body lotion of ours is really Nature Inspired. Enriched with a unique blend of avocado and aloe vera, two ingredients known to have remarkable properties in moisturizing the skin, this body lotion is a great skin therapy on its own that will keep the skin’s moisture level balanced and the skin conditioned on a daily basis. In addition to the fantastic healing properties, this lotion comes with an elegant aroma that is has a mild perfumery tone. This elegant craft is a 100% Handmade Body Lotion.

Directions: Take required quantity of Bio Organic & Natural’s Nature Inspired organic Body lotion on the palm of your hand. Apply on towel dried skin after a shower/wash & massage gently focussing on the dried areas of the skin. Better result may be seen upon regular use.

My views: I used it at bedtime when the AC was on.My skin tends to get drier in ACs so tried it to test whether it stays true to its claims. And I am happy to state it does.

My skin did feel soft in the morning and the smell lingers if you smell it closely. 😛 This will work for normal to dry skin. But if you have flaky or excessing dryness, you may need to apply it more.

On my eczema hands,it didn’t pose any problem but I do need more thicker creams for my hands.

The body lotion is perfect for everyday use. When I use it after bath, then I don’t need to reapply it throughout the day.I would say, switch to herbal alternatives because this lotion actually works,so if you find it ,grab it.

PS: I am sharing honest reviews and I haven’t been paid to do a review. For me there is no bargaining when it comes to doing a review on skincare and make up.

Bio organic and natural aloe vera gel review

Heya !!

To be honest,Sunday is the day when I am the laziest and I ignore my skincare and haircare so that I get to sleep. But my swimming lessons in the early morning, even on the weekends is robbing me off my sleep.:-( I took a pledge today that health is first priority so I am limiting my sleep to 6 hours daily. That means no more late night TV shows. (Sorry Orphan Black!Find yourself another fan. :-P)

I did a hairspa at home on my smoothened hair. No! I didn’t use the expensive Loreal range on my hair, rather I looted my kitchen. 😛 It’s just a strategy of the salons to make you buy their products, scaring you into believing that smoothening will go away if any other product is used. Bleh!Don’t get fooled.Read articles on the net,and you will know why I am saying this. 🙂

Enough rambling!I was sent this gel from the BON team for review purposes and after a month’s usage,I am ready to share my opinions. 🙂

Price: INR 119 for 100g which is dirt cheap. 🙂

Availibility: Currently they are taking orders only through their site. You will numerous ranges-Skincare,haircare,home,pets etc.

Texture: This one won my heart truly. Earlier I used to apply Patanjali aloe vera gel but after using this,I am changing my staple gel to BON aloe vera gel. This gel doesn’t contain artificial colouring agent like in Patanjali. Also, this is very light and glides easily on the skin. You need 5 dots on your face to cover it completely.Skin absorbs it right away.

Packaging: Plastic transparent jar with a white screwed cap. This also got a dent on its side and a slight leakage due to shipping. 😦 So may not be travel friendly.Overall simple packaging which I love the most.

Fragrance: No

My views: I use this once a day after my bath. After applying the toner,I dot my face with this and its gone instantly. This gel is sufficient in moisturising my combination skin and I am ready to go outside with a sunscreen on top of this.I used this on my trip to Kashmir where its chilly. There also this baby survived the test.So for normal, oily and combination skin, this will work all year round.Dry skin beauties may need to add moisturizer after applying this gel.

I have sensitive skin,so after applying this,I didn’t find anything wrong .No redness or tingling feeling.Infact it cools down my skin and reduces the redness. However,do conduct a patch test first.
