Born pretty store jewellery & hair accesories review

Hi folks!

If you remember ,I had done a post on website.I will link it here. The website sent me 2 jewellery sets with a hairclip set for reviewing and after using it,I can finally share what I feel about them.

Water Drop Earring & Necklace Set Sweet Color Cute Sweater Chain Necklace Earings Set

Yeah! That’s a handful . 😀 This multicolor set is perfect to contrast monochrome dressing and for summer time. Here,I have opted the summery look with a pastel blue top.

You can adjust the closing so this one can be worn by everyone.

Also,in no way,the set feel cheap. The quality is really good.It is made of plastic shaped in drops, held by a rosegold chain.

I can’t say much about whether the color will fade due to sweat but till now, there are no signs of discolouration.

Gold Glitter Necklace & Earrings Set Multifunctional Round Glitter Bridal Necklace Hairband Set

This one serves dual purpose. You can rock the Arabian look by sporting this as hairband or go like me as a necklace lover.

It is made of metal, probably steel, shaped in circles, embossed with a male figurine head. This is actually a dainty piece so handle it with care. One of the circles fell off during transit, which luckily can be fit together. The website team was helpful in terms of replacement of the same jewellery.

This is golden in color and is well for those party nights or bohemian look.

Seamless Magic posts / bangs stick,Ornament Magic Tape

This one is my favourite, seriously! I hate my baby hairs which keep falling on my face and irritate me,specially during summers. Also, they never helped me during makeup application. This hairclip or hairtape set is perfect to tuck in those hairs.

These are actually velcro tapes which hold your hairs together. They don’t hold big bunch of hair. 😛

Packaging-All the products came in a plastic wrapping which in turn was individually wrapped in many layers of foam.Very safe for travel.

Pricing– The website offers free shipping and allows the customers to look at the prices in their currency.I will mention the current USD and INR values of the samples. The prices are pretty decent.

Water Drop Earring & Necklace Set Sweet Color Cute Sweater Chain Necklace Earings Set- USD $7.10/INR 475.62

Gold Glitter Necklace & Earrings Set Multifunctional Round Glitter Bridal Necklace Hairband Set-USD $5.47/INR 366.43

2pcs/lot Seamless Magic posts / bangs stick,Ornament Magic Tape(Random Color)-USD $2.46/INR 164.79

Delivery– For India,it took approx. 3 weeks to deliver.

Overall verdict– The website does offer replacement for defective items sent and mostly offers items at wholesale prices.I loved it.

You can try using my 10% off coupon code- EFNT10. Who doesn’t love discounts? 😉

Neesh Perfumes Review

Today ,I am here to review perfumes for you.Apart from my herbal addiction,I am in love with perfumes as well.Actually the word ‘attar’ is dear to me. I have been using perfumes since a long time but changed to attars since 2 years. There is no going back for me ever since. My brother stays in UAE and he brought me this amazing sweet, more floral type of attar which is still there. My father brought a sample size of pure jasmine attar from there. So you know why I like them so much. 😛

In India, I was looking for good quality attar based perfumes.Attars are scented oils.Perfumes may have artificial scent/chemicals in them. This brand, honestly, answered my prayers.I am serious!

About the brand: No one can deny the problem of body odor and a very normal fragrance cannot fight it. And that’s Neesh has come up with the idea of creating distinct Oriental and Floral fragrances that are extremely portable and flexible to be adjusted in pockets.

Keeping in mind the fragrance, creative names are allotted to different smells. Their company is growing by leaps and bounds, both in terms of reputations, volume and shares. Neesh is an expanding brand in online perfumes category with innovative packaging and a branded segment.

Being the first Attar based Perfume brand of India, we cater our services online and offline. Unique packaging, attractive fragrances and loads of varieties, we are committed to create distribution networks in India via popular online platforms like Flipkart, Amazon etc.

To know about them more and view their catalogue, visit their website.

Availability: Online portals mainly. Easily available on Flipkart,Amazon,Snapdeal and Ebay.Internationally,I guess Amazon and Ebay will fit the purpose.

Price and quantity: INR 340 for 20 ml.But you can easily get them for a discount on these portals.

 Ingredients: Attached picture below.

neesh 3

To have any perfume or attar in aerosol form, you need ethanol. So you will find it for sure.It only dries your skin a bit but obviously, nobody sprays attars on full body.So no need to worry . 😀

Diethyl Phthalate (DEP) is safe for cosmetic use.You can find more about it online. It is used in almost all scented cosmetics to make the fragrance last longer.Your body will break it down easily and it leaves the body within hours through sweat and you know what! J It is always used less than 2%.

Chremophor stabilizes water-oil mixtures,as far I understood. Is is also of cosmetic grade and doesn’t harm the skin.Rest is distilled water and the main perfume.

Packaging: I have 2 words for it-Damn Perfect! All the perfume bottles I have seen, are always bulky with intricate designing. You find it difficult to carry it everywhere. This perfume ,on the other hand, is easily pocket friendly,in terms of price and pocket size. 😛 It actually fits in your jeans or trousers.Very sleek and simple packaging. You have to push the central part for the spray to come out.

neesh 2

My views: These are men’s perfumes actually which were sent to me for review after being asked my preference. I personally like men’s perfumes/unisex perfumes. You will never see me rocking entirely feminine perfumes like floral or fruity scents. These scents didn’t have overpowering manly scents yet you can catch a whiff of musk in it.I like the fact that anybody can use these,in any way actually. They have 6 fragrances each for men and women.I have received Eau-De-Mehfil and Attar –E-Ishq.

Being small in size,it is easier to carry everywhere. The plastic case is sturdy as well so no possibility of breakage.

Longevity is the key.I use them on inner wrists and behind the ears.Trust me! Even after 10 hours,I can still smell it .I didn’t use any Vaseline or oil prior using it,so you can see how strong it is.

Eau-De-Mehfil– It is supposed to be a loud perfume but I easily use it during daytime. All the perfumes create a unique scent when it touches your skin due to the presence of a natural scent which we emanate. So how it smells like on me,may differ on your body.

  • Top Note:            Arabian Bakhoor
  • Middle Note:      Black Rose, Patchouly
  • Base Note:          Castoreum, Agarwood

Attar-E-Ishq-It is supposed to be aphrodisiac but I need to ask the opposite sex then. 😛 It is a beautiful perfume as in,attractive yet not too much in the face.

  • Top Note:            Nutmeg, Cedar wood ,Bakhoor
  • Middle Note:      Agar wood, Amber
  • Base Note:          Powdry Musk, Vanilla

Overall verdict-I would say go for it.Quality and quantity alongwith the price,is a catch here. and their products review

Heya everyone!

You have heard of the Korean skincare, right? It is a speciality of Koreans to focus on the base, rather than covering it up.You may see that Koreans hardly use makeup.

I find it difficult to ever find any of their beauty stuff online or any stores here. I stay in India , by the way.So when sent me these samples to try and review,I knew instantly that finally my wish was granted.

About the website: Skin18 believes in skincare.Skincare products feed natural ingredients  and nutrition to the skin while makeup is considered as coverage.Founder of Skin18 concerns about her skin the most, and their mission is to bring the products that will make everyone look forever 18.

To know about them more and see the products, visit the website.

Samples sent: I received 2 face sheets,4  strips and a face pack.

I also won a giveaway so have received 2 face sheets in that.

My view:

Since most of the samples are written in a language I don’t understand,so it’s best to refer the website for ingredients and usage instructions:

It’s skin Todak Todak pack– Comes in a 10ml size. It is a face pack/sleeping pack.Good for dry skin. Here’s the link for its usage , price and details.

I found it moisturizing.I have combination skin and this mask still proved to be good for my skin.It didn’t cause any redness so suited my sensitive skin as well.I used this as a facepack and it still did its job of hydrating the skin.

Foodaholic 3D potato natural essence mask– This is a sheet mask.Good for suntanned skin as it soothes and calms it.

I couldn’t use it as it’s clearly mentioned not to be used by people suffering from skin diseases. 😦

Four season Multi Vita brightening active mask– This is also a sheet mask which claims to whiten the skin, but its description reads,it brightens the skin and vitalizes dull skin. I don’t believe in whitening as I love who I am.But it depends from person to person!

I tried it considering its brightening aspect.Brightening means you feel your skin looks refreshed and dullness and dirt is removed. It did remove dirt but I couldn’t see a stark difference to my skin.It may work better for those whose job makes them work outdoors mostly.I take care of my skin diligently,so usually don’t have dull skin.

Luke charcoal nose cleansing strip and lemon teatree cleansing strip– Now this is the fun part. I don’t usually use nose strips but if you get one,who can stop you? 😉

The satisfaction you get, once the visible gunk is pulled out, knows no boundaries.I have used all the pore strips and each time they made me happy.Charcoal is known to attract dirt and removes the blackheads and tightens it.So I was more excited to try it.

I noticed my blackheads literally got sucked out and also, the oiliness went away too for sometime.Mind you! You should use a toner after that or you will get the blackheads back on the same day itself. I did feel  that it stripped away the top layer of the skin as well but after applying toner and moisturizer,it  looked normal.

Beyond The God of patches bye-bye to nose blackheads– Do I need to say more? 😉

Beyond The God of patches  bye-bye smile lines–  This is the first time I saw a strip meant for wrinkles.I don’t have laugh lines and even if I do,I will embrace it. Graceful ageing,  eh? So naturally I didn’t use it.For this type of strip to work,I feel you need to be regular with its usage.

skin1 1

Four season aloe soothing waterful oasis mask– This one is my favorite as well.It soothed my skin and hydrated it so well.Good for sensitive skin due to aloe extracts.

skin 18 2

Overall verdict– Sheets masks are all the rage so one should be aware that authencity is the key.Buy from genuine places like To see the real effects of sheet masks ,use them weekly.Using once a month, won’t show you visible results. Also, prices on this website are cheap,so definitely a yay! From my side. And,if you are someone who loves cute things, their packaging will attract you. My package reached me within a week, safe and sound,so the website does a good job of the delivery system.

Avene Eau Thermale Xeracalm AD cream review

Hi everyone!

People suffering from dry skin, sensitive skin and eczema-prone people swear by this brand. So last year,I also took the plunge and introduced this in my skincare. To be honest, the products have improved my skin texture, reduce redness and itching and control the symptoms to some extent. However, the cream was too rich to be used during the day,so I had to be patient while using them.I have a done a review on some of the products from the Trixera+ selectiose range of Avene.I will link them below.

Eau thermale Avene cold cream lip cream review

Avene Trixera+ Selectiose emollient cream review ( for dry/sensitive/eczema prone skin)

Recently, when I saw,Avene has come up with a new product for us people,I knew I have to get it.It is the Xeracalm AD cream ,balm and cleansing oil.I bought only the cream for myself after reading about them.

Availability: It is available mostly online everywhere.I got mine from UAE.But I just found out, this particular item is cheaper in India. 😛 I will provide all the links below.Rest of the world can find it in stores or Boots.

Price & quantity: Varies everywhere but it is a 200ml product which will last you a long time.

Avene XeraCalm A.D LipidReplenishing Cream 200ml/6.76oz

Avene Avène XeraCalm AD Lipid-Replenishing Cream

Avene Xeracalm AD cream-rediff

Packaging: Comes in the usual tube form with fliptop cap.It has a different opening mechanism as in you press the tube and a seal comes up as you keep on pressing. The product gradually comes up.The moment you stop squeezing, the seal goes back, but the product stays. This prevent contamination with the remaining cream.I give 5 star rating to this package.Very travel-friendly and hygienic. 🙂 Usage instructions are given on the tube and the box it comes in.Detailed ingredients are given on the box and it has a small pamphlet inside it.

Texture & fragrance: No smell at all.It is a very thick cream actually but the beauty of it lies after application. It looks like it will stay on top of the skin, but leave it,and within a moment, the cream gets absorbed and your skin looks dewy instead of matte or greasy.I like this actually.Perfect for day time.Just pat it gently on the dry areas and bam!its gone.Kudos!to the texture.

Ingredients: See for yourself.I went through all of them and pleased to see 90% ingredients comes from plants and so called microorganisms. 😛 I will try giving a brief info on the unknown ingredients. This cream boasts of no paraben & preservatives. Isn’t that amazing?

cetearyl alcohol-These are fatty alcohols, conditions and softens the skin.

caprylic triglyceride-derived from coconut oil and glycerine, emollient

cetearyl glucoside-Can be obtained from cetearyl alcohol or coconut oil.Helps in mixing of oils in water.

Aquaphilus dolomiae- It is a bacteria found in thermal springs.Anti-irritating and soothing.

Arginine-Boosts collagen and heals wounds

Carbomer-Gives the creamy texture to the product.

Glycine-Wound healing

Tocopherol-Vit E…You know it.

My views: I have used it and I fell in love with it.I dab it in the places of  dryness and it gets absorbed easily and gives that dewy finish.

Even though its written that its good for severe dryness, but I feel the balm will work better for excessive dryness. This cream is good for sensitive skin and moderate to mild dryness.

It does reduce the itching sensation that I have due to my eczema patches on the face.

It also reduces redness due to rashes or sensitivity.Overall it gives a soothing effect to the skin.

This cream doesn’t cure the eczema or rashes but it will make it bearable so that we don’t scratch the skin or infect it.I will suggest everyone to try this who share dry skin issues. This cream is good for babies as well due to absence of preservatives and parabens.

Aroma Essentials Carrot Sunblock review

Heya !

Keeping up with my regular posting schedule, I am back. Summers are here and you need your saviour ,right? So,sunscreen and summers go hand in hand, and I thought, this is the right time to do this.

I am going to review another product from the Aroma Essentials herbal brand. In my earlier post where I talked about the facial mist, I had told that I was sent samples for review. I am going to link my previous post if you want to have a look. You can read about the brand over there. This sunblock is one of the samples and I must say, this works amazing, honestly.

Availability: You can buy it from their facebook site & Instagram account @aromaessentials by inboxing them or contact them on +91-9886497272 / 7760988272.They take the payment through bank transfer. They ship worldwide as well. Their products are also available at selected places in India as shown below.

Price & quantity: I received the 35g jar which costs INR 300.They do have shipping charge of INR 100 so best to buy 2-3 products at once. Since this is in cream texture for normal-dry skin,so you need only a small amount for face and neck. This will last you a month without reapplication.

Fragrance and texture: Strong peppermint smell and the formulation is whipped cream. The smell vanishes after sometime. It is light yellow in color and light in texture also. Gets absorbed easily. However, on my T-zone, it gets oily after sometime. So it is apt for normal-dry skin.

Packaging: Comes in white plastic jar with screwed lid. All the labels are given. Ingredients list is missing which you can easily ask Madhurima, the owner or see on their Facebook page. Since mine was a sample, so the prices are missing also. But I looked it up in their catalogue. I travelled with this jar on my Gwalior tour and didn’t face any leakage or breakage. So this is sturdy and obviously travel-friendly. Small size is a plus point.

Ingredients:  Carrot Oil,  Carrot seed oil , Carrot juice, Zinc oxide ,Lavender, mint and icecream thickener glyceryl mono stereate.

My views: All their products are made 2-3 days prior to sending them which I got to know on enquiring them. So this is definitely freshly-made and shows how much natural ingredients they use.Expiry is after 6 months.

Herbal sunscreens need reapplication more often than their chemical counterparts as the SPF truly comes from the carrot juice and carrot-seed oil which has an SPF of 38-40.When I had applied it, I forgot to reapply it due to hectic tour so I got tanned 1 shade darker, which was acceptable as I knew how to remove that tan easily in a week. For no tan, it’s best to reapply every 3-4 hours if you are outside in the Sun. Do not be careless like me. 😀

So speaking in terms of its efficacy, I will still say it works, as purely on the basis of herbal ingredients; it did its job fairly well for 6 hours at a go without reapplication and without causing major skin tanning. Also, note that, carrot sunblock will protect you from only UVB rays,  the chief cause of skin reddening and sunburn. UVA rays cause skin-ageing.

Also, on my sensitive combination skin, it didn’t cause any reaction or tingling. My eczema patches also didn’t flare up. My T-zone needed compact after 2 hours though. Absorption power is fast. I didn’t notice any white cast post usage.

This sunscreen isn’t waterproof. However, the brand does have a sunscreen for swimmers which will get the work done. Since I stay in dry summers, I didn’t face any sweating.

catalogue 1.jpg

Overall verdict is go for this sunscreen as it is herbal, suits sensitive skin and isn’t giving any ghostly appearance. 😛

Aroma Essentials Facial Mist-Lavender

I know I have been keeping busy for a month , so not much regular with my blog posts. If you follow me on Instagram, you maybe knowing I had gone for a birthday family trip last weekend to Gwalior. I have also decided to write travelogues from now on as I want to share my travel life with you as well. 🙂

So moving on with that, I am back with another review of a herbal product from a brand named Aroma essentials. I received their samples for review and thought to share about the facial mist as the summers have already touched the Delhi NCR now and we need something to freshen up.

Why you need a facial mist?

  • You can spritz it and instantly hydrate your skin
  • Remove dirt and grime by wiping afterwards with a cloth
  • Refreshing and cool during summers
  • Handy if you are outdoors and don’t have water to splash on your face

About the brand: Aroma Essentials is a range of skin care products that may make a useful addition to your daily skin care regimen. These include cleansers, sunscreens, moisturizers, exfoliants, facial cleansers, toners, retonoids, herbal and nutrient supplements and cosmetics.
Natural handmade skin and hair care products-All their products are freshly handmade in small batches using the finest natural ingredients. They do not use harsh chemicals like petroleum or mineral oil. The color and scent of their products occur naturally from their ingredients and essential oils. No artificial colors and scents are added. Store in a cool dry place, away from sunlight.

Their Phone no.: +91 077609 88272

Availability: You can buy their products by contacting them on their Facebook page & Instagram account @aromaessentials. The owner, Madhurima, will reply to your queries and messages therein. Their products are also available at selected places in India as given below  and internationally, they ship also.

Price & quantity: INR 200 for 50ml.You need  2-3 sprays for your face and neck. Depending on how much you use daily, the product can last you a month or maybe more. They take additional 100 INR for shipping within India, so best to order 2-3 products at once.

Ingredients: English lavender oil, distilled water, lavender buds, saffron extracts along with aquaxyl which helps improve the water contact with the skin.(Has peppermint additives for summers). The shelf life is 6 months. They also have another variant named Rose.

Skin type: Any even sensitive skin

Fragrance: Has a peppermint smell, which goes away in a minute

Packaging: Comes in a spray bottle which is transparent. It has the label and pricing on the bottle. Also they usually label them personally that shows each product is having a handmade touch. The bottle is sturdy and travel friendly. It is a very simple packaging and I am not the type of girl who goes by the looks. If you are someone, who loves fancy items on their shelf, then this may not be your eye candy. 😛

My views: I never understood the importance of mists before I started using them. They are a savior to my dry skin or when I am feeling dull or sleepy. 😛

  1. It moisturized my skin and the dry patches became less noticeable.
  2. The mist is fine so easily dries up.
  3. Peppermint fragrance freshens up instantly.

I have small patches of eczema on my face and this mist didn’t irritate them at all. Infact, lavender is good for eczema as an anti-inflammatory agent.

Overall verdict is you can definitely try this mist if you want something earthly, that doesn’t cause a reaction to your skin or your pocket.

Incolor matte me lipstick shade-402 review

Hi everyone!

After being requested by one of the followers, I am back with another review of a matte lipstick from a UK brand named Incolor. Correct me if I am wrong. 🙂  I surveyed the lipstick everywhere and checked on every online site. I found this to be genuine and cheapest on the Instagram stores.

For a long time, I wanted a deep maroon-blood shade for my lips. This shade complements all the skin tones. Even though it is more of an autumnal shade, but I don’t follow the trends. 😛

Availability: Available mostly online and in Impressions, Karol Bagh or Khar beauty centre, Mumbai.I got mine from an Instagram store @the_makeup_and_jewellery_shop.They take payments through bank transfer, paytm and COD in Kolkata.

Price & quantity: On the packaging, there is no price mentioned. Due to which the MRP can’t be told. I saw the prices range from 220-300 INR online plus shipping extra. I got mine for 285 bucks out of which the item price was 250.It has 6 ml of product which is quite decent amount.

Packaging: It comes in a simple plastic wrapping which can be torn off easily. The lipstick bottle is similar to Sleek lip creams. Very similar packaging indeed. The bottle has the brand name and shade written on it.No ingredients mentioned. 😦 I love the square shaped bottle as it looks classy. The wand is stiff so had a bit difficult experience during application. Also it is very straight. Doe foot applicator may have improved the lipstick application.

Texture: It is cream in formulation and glides smoothly on the lips. However,it is very mattifying. So you should have exfoliated and soft lips beforehand. It can easily show your lip lines .It takes 1 min approximately to mattify completely.

Fragrance: Nothing noticeable

My views: I wanted to try this baby after seeing one of the videos of Youtuber Debasree. Here’s her video if you want to check out the review of all other shades in this range.

This lipstick is very pigmented and single swatch is enough. Mind you! You need to be careful in applying this as it is a dark shade and it is an uphill task to remove this if something goes wrong.

It is transfer-proof. I checked it on my hands by making a shape as if you are drinking or kissing. 😛 😀 You need an oil-based remover to wipe this lipstick off. I remove my makeup using coconut oil. It took me 2-3 swipes of cotton pad dipped in oil, to remove this lipstick completely. It survives heavy meals easily.

It is drying, as mentioned above so if you have dry lips, either slather on a lip balm before or stay away from this lipstick. I guess matte lipsticks have always been drying.

Overall rating would be 4/5 .The applicator needs to be improved. In this cost, I believe this is the best matte lipstick that stays on your lips forever.
